Guide To Spending Time With God Series || Start Afresh

“again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.”
-Hebrews 4:7 NKJV

But why should my relationship with God be in shambles?

But why should my heart no longer pant after the Lord?

But why do I never get to spend time with the Lord?

Why does my job take first place in my life?

Why does sleep take first place in my heart?

Why would I rather watch a movie than watch a sermon?

What’s becoming of my heart?

Why is my heart no longer stirred by affection for the Lord?

Oh daughter of the most High weep for what you have lost!

Weep for how gone you have gone.

Shut down your day to ask the Holy Spirit to pour out afresh upon you again.

Do you not hear Him call?

Don’t you feel empty without His manifest presence? Why are you comfortable without His voice whispering in your ears and sending you on to start your day in Him? Don’t you miss being able to commune with the lover of your soul?

Are you so far gone?

Can’t you hear Him calling?

How did you get here where you are no longer broken before Him? How is it that your heart is so hardened to His call?

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”
Revelation 3:20 NKJV

Can you hear Him knocking on the door of your heart?

Can you hear His urgent call?

Come spend just 20 minutes with me. Come sit before me. Come tell me you you love me. Come listen to how much I value you.

You have let the world into your heart for too long.

Is there no room for me?

Is there no space in your heart for me?

Just 20 minutes?

Come sing to me. I love to hear your voice. Its been so long.

Please come.

“Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.”
